In what is a sign that streaming is really beginning to take off, you can watch this year’s 2016 Australian Open Tennis Championship by streaming it from a number of devices – including the new Apple TV and mobile devices like iPad, and the iPhone. The Seven Network have announced it has broken records, with over 500,000 people live-streaming the first day of the Australian Open.
Over 2,000 hours of live, exclusive and free tennis, catch-up and on- demand highlights.
It is the first time the Seven Network have allowed you to watch the tennis live, apart from their regular broadcast on TV. Their broadcast on TV is still there, however streaming has its benefits, including more than 2,000 hours of streamed only video, highlight videos and additional footage.
Using the app, or watching from the new Apple TV gives you the choice to decide which court you want to watch, with Seven live streaming a total of 16 courts. Alongside streaming are a range of other features, such as live social feeds, player profiles and scores.
