Sonos has announced Apple Music, the streaming music service from Apple, is now compatible with their range of wireless speaker products thanks to a partnership with Apple, and a successful testing beta program late in 2015. To start streaming Apple Music on Sonos you simply need to select Apple Music from the controller app and login.
“This partnership has been an excellent example of two companies that truly care about music coming together to deliver a great listening experience,” said John MacFarlane, Sonos chief executive officer. “Working with Apple gives us the opportunity to share Apple Music throughout people’s homes in a way that’s easy, intuitive, and sounds great.”
Those using Sonos speakers will have access to the full range of features offered by Apple Music through their Sonos smart speakers, which offer amazing sound in every room of their homes. This includes the For You section which are hand-pick albums, and playlists based on music you like – as well as the New section, which allows you to view this weeks freshest tracks, videos and playlists, selected by Apple Music editors. This also features a range of radio stations, including Beats 1 and a huge catalog of albums and songs – all available for streaming.
A Sonos station is also available on Apple Music, which brings music curated by artists in collaboration with Sonos themselves.
Sonos is a smart wireless speaker system that seamlessly streams all your favorite music to any room, or every room with the ability to pair multiple speakers to your home Wi-Fi network all of which are controlled with one simple app.
Apple Music is available in a range of countries including Australia starting at A$11.99 per month, with the first three months free. You can explore the whole range of Sonos speakers on the Sonos Australia website.
